Video4Change Network partner WITNESS has announced that they are expanding their work in the United States through a generous new grant.

Announcement from the WITNESS newsletter:

“WITNESS is excited to announce that we are expanding our work in the United States through a generous grant from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.

With human rights under renewed threat, we can’t think of a more urgent moment to support vulnerable communities across the U.S. With this grant, we will dramatically increase our training of activists, civic witnesses, and grassroots movements speaking out against violence and working for immigrants’ rights, women’s and LGBTQ rights, and against police violence.

Our U.S. program will empower advocates and their allies to use digital tools to expose abuses and demand accountability. We will strengthen counter-narratives and stand up against hate as we fight for the rights of all.

WITNESS has a 25-year track record of success in supporting people globally to use visual media and technology to protect their rights and change lives.

Now, more than ever, we must work together to defend human rights in the U.S. and around the world!

In solidarity,

Team WITNESS
